Colin Tizzard’s big-race veteran went agonisingly close to scooping the mammoth pot offered by Jockey Club Racecourses last season when falling three out in the Cheltenham Gold Cup after winning the Betfair and the King George VI Chase. The Boxing Day showpiece at Kempton will again be the next stop for Cue Card after he defeated Coneygree, the 2015 Gold Cup hero, who went down with all guns blazing on his first start for 377 days....

Early previews of the game have shown us that Destiny is an ambitious undertaking - one that, if done well, could influence the future of game development in the next-gen. Even so, many gamers will flock to the game just to see what the first non-Halo game from Bungie looks like, and how it differs from that iconic Microsoft franchise. However, although Bungie is likely borrowing heavily from lessons learned on the Halo franchise, they are not making another Halo....

While fans are in the final countdown for Destiny’s new House of Wolves content, player attention for the time being has been focused on one of those new bounty rewards called Treasure Keys. After collecting these items, players were then unsure what to actually do with them, but new information has surfaced that suggests they are extremely useful. Treasure Keys can be found after completing the new Queen’s Bounties received from Petra Venj....

To help temper players’ anticipation, House of Wolves will ship with some new multiplayer content; the new additions simply won’t be as meaty full-fledged raid. For one, Bungie’s adding a new competitive multiplayer mode called The Trials of Osiris, which pits two teams of three against one another in a battle for loot and glory - without the aid of respawns. There’s also the Prison of Elders, a “battle arena” in which teams of players face off against increasingly difficult waves of enemies....

While Bungie doesn’t have an official release date for this latest Destiny patch, they say it could go live as early as Tuesday January 13th. There are a few general gameplay fixes packaged in with the update, but the patch is mostly focused on the Crota’s End raid. More specifically, the update will remove all of the exploits players have discovered with since The Dark Below’s launch in December....

Within the last few days, we’ve seen players speedrun Crota’s End solo in just over 16 minutes, solo Crota’s End without using guns, and solo Crota’s End on hard. And just when it seems like there’s no further ways to one-up the last guy in Crota’s End, one Destiny player has done just that....

While most have already used the recent Destiny beta test as a barometer for whether or not they will enjoy Bungie’s new multiplayer-focused game, they may not be sold on which console version to pick up. Hoping to sway potential Destiny players to their platform, Sony has released a new trailer focused on the PlayStation exclusive content for the game....

Where is Destiny 2’s January 7 Ascendant Challenge Located? The Ascendant Challenge for this week is located at the Divalian Mists spawn point in the Bay of Drowned Wishes. Hop over a few rocks, and you’ll see a cave opening behind you. Pop your Tincture of Queensfoil, earned by doing activities around the Dreaming City, and look to the right of the Lost Sector barrier. You should see the challenge entrance portal straight ahead....

Season of Arrivals Starting with the most current information, Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals begins today as the final major addition for the Year 3 Annual Pass. The first Pyramid Ship has arrived on Io, and Guardians will be tasked with uncovering its mysterious through various messages and in-game activities. Starting today, all players can explore a new Dungeon called Prophecy that unlocks the DAITO Foundry armor and Trials of the Nine armor sets....

Now, 11 years later, the Diablo series has finally made its way back into the hands of the public with the release of the beta for Diablo 3. Despite the announcement that it would see a release in early 2012, gamers have been itching to get their hands on the long-awaited title. Sporting new features and new classes, the question on most gamers’ minds is whether the experience will be worthy of its venerable name....

A similar Blizzard-esque situation has occurred with Diablo 3’s skill rune system, which can now add a wide variety of secondary effects to a large number of skills in the game. With five different colors of runes, and more skills than you can shake a stick at, Diablo 3 now offers players the ability to take the role-playing in the game to the next level. Runestones, while originally thought to imbue all skills with an equal effect, actually adapt to the skill on which they are placed....

A committee headed by Kapil Dev along with Shantha Rangaswamy and Anshuman Gaekwad interviewed a host of candidates including World Cup winning India coach Gary Kirsten and Venkatesh Prasad before zeroing in on former opener Raman. If a player wronged us, we tend to remember, which oftens leads to one-sided grudges, that, believe me, do not bother professional athletes who are making six, seven or eight figures just to play baseball. Thankfully, now that Destiny is almost upon us, Bungie is finally willing to get into the finer details of their upcoming game. They want gamers to know what they have planned for them, not just at the outset but in the endgame as well. Bungie’s Luke Smith sat down with IGN to talk a little about the endgame content, promising that not only is there a ton of activities for players to complete once they reach the “end” of the story but also to reveal more about Raids, something Bungie has, up until this point, said very little about....

[HTML1] In a little over two weeks Bungie will give Destiny players their first taste of post-launch story content in the form of The Dark Below DLC expansion. As previously detailed, The Dark Below will include a set of new story missions, one new Strike mission (or two for PlayStation players), a new Raid, and tons of new weapons and gear to collect. But before Bungie lets players go hands-on with The Dark Below there’s still plenty of legwork to be done....

It’s easy to look at this situation and scoff that Bungie’s loot system was not ready for the launch of the game. But even the harshest critic must admit that the developer seems to be doing everything it can to bring the game up to player expectations, and the latest evidence just dropped this week. Bungie announced in its latest weekly update that the developer intends to release newly buffed exotic weapons for its next major patch....

Stripping away the fat, the new gametype that is rumored to be making its way to Destiny’s PvP Crucible mode goes by the name of Inferno. Taking a cue from the popular Team SWAT gametype from Halo, Inferno is purported to remove use of the radar, super abilities and any additional bonuses, forcing players to instead rely on their skills with the game’s weaponry. With Bungie looking at the possibilities of a racing mode, this would add yet another way to play the ever-evolving title....
