Where is Xur in Destiny 2 October 18?

For the weekend of October 18, you’ll find Xur at the Barge on Nessus. Those who don’t know where that is can use the map below.

Once you’ve found Xur, here’s a basic recap of the Exotic gear he’s carrying. Due to recent changes with the implementation of Armor 2.0, random rolls are not listed like they used to be.

Telesto [Heavy Fusion Rifle - 29 Legendary Shards]: Its strengths are in its Unplanned Reprieve and Harbinger’s Pulse perks. With those two abilities, you can attach and detonate Fusion projectiles while also getting immediate reloads for multikills. Updates buffed weapons like this to make them produce Orbs, so this Exotic is worth keeping an eye on. The Telesto has a winning combination of range and AoE. It’s called the “besto” for a reason. Dunemarchers [Titan Leg Armor - 23 Legendary Shards]: With Linear Actuators, sprint speed increases and builds up a static charge that releases when meleeing enemies. This isn’t the most popular Exotic of the bunch, but it’s good at everything it advertises. If you want to move faster and deal melee damage, this option is for you. It meshes well with pretty much every Titan subclass, even though most wouldn’t call it a must-have. Transversive Steps [Warlock Leg Armor - 23 Legendary Shards]: Its Strange Protractor perk increases sprint speed and automatically reloads your equipped weapon. Especially if you’re a solo Warlock, this armor is for you. It eliminates the disadvantages of slow-loading weapons and helps you sprint to cover quickly. That’s an awesome benefit in PvE and PvP alike. Shards of Galanor [Hunter Gauntlets - 23 Legendary Shards]: With the Sharp Edges perk, hits and kills with Blade Barrage return Super Energy after the Super ends. These were nerfed to offer less yield on that buff, but you can still get about half your Super back if played carefully. These are really good in Gambit but not quite the PvP powerhouse they used to be. The High Priestess [Invitation of the Nine - Nine Legendary Shards]: Located on Nessus. Vex samples [nine]Cabal samples [nine]Fallen samples [nine]Inverted Spire StrikeFive of Swords:This is a Nightfall Challenge Card that can raise or lower the Power handicap to fit your needs. Raising the handicap increases your score multiplier.

While there’s nothing totally unique about this week’s Xur inventory, it’s still a fairly powerful set of Exotics. Other guns have replaced the Telesto for some, but it remains one of the best weapons in the game. Especially for new players and those grinding through the Iron Banner quest this week, having a Telesto in your inventory is never a bad option. If that power can be paired with something like Transversive Steps, it’s hard to argue against the advantages. Pretty much every Exotic here is designed to make Iron Banner more enjoyable, and they do so in strong fashion. While we’d still like to see a new Exotic make its Xur debut in the near future, the inventory for October 18 is a solid substitute.

Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Xur is active through the Weekly Reset on Tuesday.
