Human Revolution on the PC may be the best choice in terms of gameplay, yet with the issues that some gamers have seen on their PC… it might now have felt that way. Issues included startup crashes, delayed loading times (some of which could take as long as 15 minutes), overly sensitive control schemes, and twitchy running - leaving some players feeling as if the PC may have been the wrong way to go.
Thankfully Square Enix has put out an update to solve mod of the PC issues. This will make things like playing the game more enjoyable, along with deciding who’s side you’re on: humanities or evolution.
Plus, if you’re one of those people who got short-handed by GameStop earlier this week, and didn’t receive their OnLive coupon - then you’re two-times a winner. As it turns out, GameStop is offering a $50 GameStop gift card and a Buy 2 Get 1 Free pre-owned purchase promotion for any PC gamers who were affected. The $50 gift card replaces the OnLive version of the game, while the “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” seems to be a much needed olive branch - after the company’s PR nightmare.
Purchasers wanting to receive their coupon and gift card will simply have to bring in a copy of the incoming email (that will look similar to the one below), along with their receipt. We strongly recommend patience, as this email just went out and the procedures will take a little bit of time to get organized.
So, to recap: a new patch to fix those pesky PC bugs, GameStop is trying to fix their woeful wrongs, and everything is right in the world. It makes you wonder: are the people who picked up the console versions feeling a little left out?
