Bungie has been working away on their new long-term IP after a summer of showcasing Destiny at various conventions and expos. Working towards their 2014 release date, updates have been a little scarce of late but today the box art for the game has been released showing its marketing direction, with a promise of a new announcement and a trailer tomorrow. What’s interesting about the Destiny box cover art is that instead of focusing on the ‘Traveler’, the big mysterious white sphere that hovers above Earth’s last city in Destiny, it’s been pushed to the for the background in favor of faceless, generic sci-fi action protagonists....

However, what we did not know was that a second Destiny feature was in the works that arguably is the most exciting change in quite some time. Bungie has apparently heard gamers’ requests, and they have finally added mobile Vault management to the game. As revealed in today’s Bungie update, players will now be able to manage their Vault inventory directly from the Destiny Companion App or Bungie.net. That means they can take items and put them directly on their character, or they can store them in the Vault – all without having to switch characters or visit the Tower....

Beginning with rumors and the subsequent denial that the Xbox One would offer the option to pre-load Titanfall, it didn’t take long before a developer stated that pre-loading would be hitting the PS4 in April. While it’s implementation has taken a bit longer than expected, the introduction of PS4 pre-loading is just on the horizon as per the release of PS4 firmware update 1.7. While many believed high-profile release Watch Dogs would mark the console’s first foray into pre-loading, the recently-updated PlayStation Knowledge Center states otherwise....

The confirmation of the release date comes by way of a Diablo 3 in-game message that labels the aforementioned June 12th as the day. Nintendo’s very own Reggie Fils-Aime made a surprise appearance at the end of the latest Direct video to announce the return of everyone’s favorite tie-wearing ape.
